Hi, I’m Eduardo Romero—a first-generation Latino born and raised in Bend, Oregon. For over 20 years, I’ve been dedicated to photography as a way to tell authentic stories and celebrate the beauty, strength, and individuality of people of color.

As the founder of Quetzal Creative, my work centers on redefining representation through the lens. I aim to empower communities by capturing images that honor their identities and challenge stereotypes. Photography, for me, is not just about taking pictures—it’s about creating a space where everyone feels seen, valued, and celebrated.

Beyond photography, I help lead Vámonos Outside, a nonprofit organization that promotes inclusivity in outdoor spaces. Through both my artistic and community work, I strive to build a world where people of color are represented with dignity and pride.

Hola, soy Eduardo Romero, un latino de primera generación nacido y criado en Bend, Oregón. Durante más de 20 años, me he dedicado a la fotografía como una forma de contar historias auténticas y celebrar la belleza, la fuerza y la individualidad de las personas de color.

Como fundador de Quetzal Creative, mi trabajo se centra en redefinir la representación a través del lente. Mi objetivo es empoderar a las comunidades capturando imágenes que honren sus identidades y desafíen estereotipos. Para mí, la fotografía no es solo tomar fotos; es crear un espacio donde todos se sientan vistos, valorados y celebrados.

Además de la fotografía, ayudo a liderar Vámonos Outside, una organización sin fines de lucro que promueve la inclusión en los espacios al aire libre.
